My basic service, or 'tune up'
Your bike inspected, gears and brakes adjusted, cables and chain lubricated, tyres inflated to a suitable pressure, all bolts checked for correct (or suitable where manufacturer specification cannot be identified) torque
Full 'M Check' with adjustments made (where parts are not required) in the interest of safety
- Axle bolts / skewers
- Headset play
- Stem / handlebar bolts
- Brake and gear levers
- Grips secure
- Crankset / bottom bracket play
- Seat post secure
- Brake callipers, pads and braking surfaces checked for wear and function
- Shifting accurate with minimal noise
- Chain lubricated
- Wheel hubs free of play
- Wheels checked for true (on bike)
- Seat post removed from frame, cleaned, lubricated
Customer to be advised of any further work, either immediately (safety critical), or for future servicing.
